Carnival Breeze Cruise Ship

Carnival Breeze is the third Dream-Class cruise ship being built by Fincantieri in Monfalcone, Italy, for Carnival Cruise Lines (CCL). She is the sister ship of Carnival Dream and Carnival Magic, which were delivered in 2009 and 2011 respectively.
Dream-Class cruise ships are the largest passenger ships ever built for CCL. They are also the largest cruise ships built in the history of Italian shipbuilding.
Carnival Breeze is anticipated to enter service in June 2012 with 12-day Mediterranean cruises. She will then be shifted to Miami, Florida, in November 2012 for year-round six and eight-day Caribbean operations.
The design of Carnival Breeze was developed from her existing sister ships and has the same outdoor set-up. Her design is inspired by tropical ambiances. She will be coated with warm colours and will be given chromatic colour shades created by Partner Ship Design (PSD).
PSD has also designed most of the public areas including the staterooms, central area, shops, promenade deck, dance lounge, restaurant deck, spa, bars, entertainment lounge and open decks.
A four-slide water park will be outfitted on the last deck. A promenade will run across the ship's external perimeter.
The 128,500t ship will cruise at a maximum speed of 22.5kt. She has an overall length of 306m. Length between perpendiculars is 269.2m and moulded breadth is 37.2m.

The 130,000-ton, 3,690-passenger Carnival Breeze, the third ship in Carnival's Dream class and 24th in the fleet, is set to launch in June 2012. The first-in-class Carnival Dream debuted in September 2009 and sister ship Carnival Magic followed in May 2011.

Much of what's found onboard Carnival Dream and Carnival Magic will be on Carnival Breeze, including the adults-only Serenity area; Seaside Theatre; "Cloud 9" spa; WaterWorks aqua park with a 303-foot-long, corkscrew waterslide; SportSquare outdoor fitness and adventure area; RedFrog Pub; family-style Cucina del Capitano Italian restaurant; and family cabins designed to accommodate five passengers. (Peruse our Carnival Dream review page for photos and info.) Interiors will be decorated in a Caribbean theme, from the creative efforts of Germany-based Partner Ship Design.

Carnival Breeze will spend its inaugural season in Europe, with a 12-night maiden voyage departing on June 3, 2012, and sailing from Venice to Barcelona. It will then sail 12-night Mediterranean cruises out of Barcelona through October 25, 2012. Following a 15-night transatlantic voyage from November 6-21, the ship will arrive in Miami, where it will offer year-round, alternating six- and eight-night Caribbean itineraries.

The ship is currently under construction at Fincantieri's shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy.

Carnival Destiny Cruise Ship

The 101,353-ton, 2,642-passenger Carnival Destiny entered service in 1996 as the largest passenger ship ever built. While the middle-aged vessel is now one of the line's oldest, regular multi-million upgrades have kept it in line with Carnival's newer, more amenity hardware. In 2008, Destiny gained a Seaside Theater, a brand staple, a mini-golf course and "Circle C" facility for the 12-14's. The line also added 16 balconies to cabins. (An even bigger upgrade is scheduled for 2013.)

Destiny boasts a spacious casino, spa and fitness center, and passengers will find a variety of entertainment and dining options, and comfortably sized cabins -- all at exceptional value for the dollar.

There is a full slate of activities and entertainment for every age group and taste -- from ballroom dancing, classical music concerts, tea time and art auctions to hairy chest and knobby knees contests, blackjack and slot machine tournaments, bingo, and karaoke.

Carnival Destiny Fellow Passengers
Demographically speaking there is no "typical" Carnival passenger in terms of age or income, although many fall in the middle income range and are attracted to the reasonable rates. Many passengers are between the ages of 21 and 45 with large groups of singles, couples and families.

Carnival Destiny Dress Code
Most cruises feature one or two formal nights; a dark suit or formal attire is suggested -- most men opt for suits. The dress code for the rest of the evenings ranges from sport coats and ties to resort wear. Otherwise, dress is casual during the day and a bit dressier at night. Carnival's material asks for "resort casual" for dinner in the dining rooms, and most people comply. If you look presentable, jeans are not an issue. No tank tops or shorts allowed in the main restaurants for any meal.

Carnival Destiny Gratuity
Carnival recommends $11.50 per person, per day. The guidelines allocate $5.80 to dining room services, $3.70 to cabin services and $2 per day for alternative services, which include kitchen, entertainment, guest services and other hotel staff members. The amount is automatically added to your shipboard account, but can be adjusted in either direction at the guest services desk. A 15 percent gratuity is automatically added to bar bills. Tipping for room service at delivery is expected (and appreciated) by the service staff. An envelope is provided on the last night for those who want to extend thanks to the maitre d'.

Carnival Conquest Cruise Ship

Carnival Conquest is a Conquest-class cruise ship owned and operated by Carnival Cruise Lines. Sixty percent of her staterooms have ocean views, and sixty percent of those (37% of all cabins) have balconies. Carnival Conquest cruises the Western Caribbean from the port of Galveston, Texas. The ship's interior decor is of a French Impressionist style designed to complement her original port city of New Orleans. Carnival Conquest was renovated in 2009, receiving a new Circle “C” club (for 12- to 14-year-olds) and a large outdoor LED screen. Eighteen ocean view staterooms were given balconies during this process.
The Godmother of the Carnival Conquest is Lindy Boggs, a former US Congresswoman for Louisiana.
In November 2011 The Carnival Conquest was moved from Galveston to New Orleans and making voyages of 6, 7, 8 Western Caribbean and 7 Day Eastern Caribbean voyages. She started her voyage on November 13.
