The
newest ship in Royal Caribbean's awe-inspiring Oasis class – Allure
of the Seas, captivating unlike any other. MS Allure of the seas is
the world's largest cruise currently shipping across the ocean which
is taller than Nelson's Column longer than four football fields.
Together with her sister ship, Oasis of the Seas, she holds te record
for the largest passenger ship ever constructed. The Allure of the
Seas is just 50 mm longer than the Oasis, making her technically the
largest despite the fact that both ships have similar
superstructures.
Explore
seven distinct neighborhoods filled with awesome new features like
the first Starbucks at sea, Broadway hit musical Chicago in the main
theater and favorite moments with Sherk, Po the panda and more
friends in the Dreamworks Experience.
Spice
up your sailing with margaritas and Mexican-fare favorites at Rita's
Cantina or with prime cuts straight from the skewer at Samba Grill Brazilian Steakhouse. And there's still plenty more Oasis-class WOWs
to be had, from the Classic carousel on the Boradwalk, to aerial
acrobats in the Aqua Theater Flow Rider surf simulators, plus zip line
views over Central Parks, a meandering garden lined with shops and
fine restaurants.
The
cruise is so flooded with bill-busting offerings such as extra-charge
Mixecan food, ice cream, build-your-own pets, Coach bags, fortunes
from Zoltar that its easy to forget about inclusions, many of which
are exclusive to the Oasis class. Families flock to Allure of the
Seas, a ship that celebrates youtful exuberance in the form of surf
simulators, rock-climbing walls and some of the best children's
facilities at the sea.
Designed
under the name “Project Genesis”, she was ordered from Aker
Finnyards in 2006 and her construction start at the Perno shipyard in
Turku, Finland in 2008.
According
to the shipyard as big as this was design length of the Allure of the
Seas is the same as that of her sister cruise Oasis of the Seas. The
gross tonnage of the Allure is 225-282 and her displacement the
actual weight of the ship is equal to that of the Oasis, which is
estimated to be around 100K metric tons.
The cruise itself I would imagine was wonderful.
